Nothing much, just that i've been reading more Sandman (whatever i could get my hands on at the library) and i'm in LOVE with the character designs. Who's the artist who did "The Sound of Her Wings", the last story in Preludes and Nocturnes? He's incredible. I adore Michael Zulli's wispy, surreal style in The Wake as well.

I based his face on the Velvet Revolver frontman. Yes yes they don't look alike at all, but since i hardly draw outside of manga style i figured it'd be wise to use a real person as a reference. I tried it out with Jonathan Rhys Meyers at first cos his cheekbones and face shape really fit my idea of Morpheus but... he ended up looking like a Red Indian. =X Well all this serves to illustrate one of the things i really like about the Sandman series: each artist can have his own interpretation of the characters and draw them in different ways. So it's really like the characters are universal, appearing in different variations and guises throughout.
